Sean and I were lucky enough to see Queen + Paul Rodgers (former lead singer in Free and Bad Company,) a couple of weeks ago on the first Queen tour since 1986.
We saw them first up in Brixton at the Academy, and went with low expectations, which were pleasantly exceeded. The band played pretty well, but were nervous, the best songs on the night by far were Paul's - the band playing All Right Now, Feel Like Making Love, Can't Get Enough Of Your Love etc. much better than the Queen stuff (in the main).
The two pleasant surprises of the night were Brian singing I Want It All and really pulling it off, and the inclusion of I'm In Love With My Car complete with Rog singing and drumming this live classic at the same time - the boy's still got it!
The downside was the crowd, who seemed surprisingly un-up for it, and the choice of songs, Paul's voice not really being suited for some of the Queen hits - Roger sings Radio Ga Ga, Break Free and Kind of Magic better, and Crazy Little Thing was also a little flat.
However, on the more rocky numbers like The Show Must Go On and Fat Bottom Girls, he seems much happier.
Pics from Brixton are available here.

Paris however was another matter, the band more relaxed, the crowd more up for it and the set list - whilst the same songs - was in a much better order.
The view was better too, I wasn't consigned to the disabled balcony as I was in Brixton (I was on crutches at the time,) and so the pics are also much better.
I especially like these two - I haven't had to edit either of them - they could almost be professional!
