Saw the great Bo at the Jazz Cafe the other week - the pictures are now up on my Flickr site.
He may be in his 80s but the man's mojo is still working. Despite planning on playing a 60 minute set it ended up being nearly 250 including a 30 minute last track which saw the legend also play the drums and the keyboards as well as guitar and vocals.
The crowd, most of us young enough to be Bo's grandchildren loved it, and it reminded me of what a great intimate venue the Jazz Cafe is.
It also reinforced how few of Diddly's generation are still with us. Most of them have gone, and those that are left play the Jazz Cafe, whilst they still can. And whilst they're doing that I'll try and see as many of them as I can, whilst I still can.
On a different note, young Sean and his band played a gig the other week, and very good they were too. Pics are also up on Flickr, and will be on fotopic in due course.
